Policy and Recommendations Regarding Emerging Infectious Diseases
Published: April 2009The Executive Committee has approved policy and recommendations regarding emerging infectious diseases. The basic policy was originally developed in response to the SARS outbreak and approved in 2003. It has since been updated to apply more generally to emerging infectious diseases and has immediate relevance to swine flu and the CDC warnings relating to travel to Mexico. The application of this policy in the current context of the University's ongoing efforts to monitor and address issues related to Swine Flu will be communicated to the University community this evening as part of an update on our work.
